Beltar is a quaint village and an emerging off-beat tourist destination in Kurseong sub-division of Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. By Train: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the nearest rail head to Beltar located at a distance of 53.6 km via SH12 and Matigara – Kurseong Rd/Subash Ghisingh Marg. Best time to visitBeltar can be visited throughout the year. Summers (March to May) are moderate and best to witness numerous flowers blooming in and around the village, monsoon (June to September) offers the most greenery due to moderate to heavy rainfall. Though the road may become slippery but the surrounding landscape becomes more attractive and winters (November to February) are quiet chilly and are perfect more most of the outdoor activities.
