Beltar is a quaint village and an emerging off-beat tourist destination in Kurseong sub-division of Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Margaret’s Deck: Located at a distance of 5.4 km away from Beltar, Margaret’s Deck is a popular tea lounge located with Margaret’s Hope Tea Estate. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Museum: Located at a distance of about 07 km from Beltar, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Museum is an ideal place for history enthusiasts.

By Air: Bagdogra Airport is the nearest airport to Beltar located at a distance of approximately 53 km via Matigara – Kurseong road. Bagdogra Airport is well connected by regular domestic flights with Kolkata, Delhi and Guwahati. From Bagdogra Airport tourists can hire vehicles to reach Beltar.
By Train: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the nearest rail head to Beltar located at a distance of 53.6 km via SH12 and Matigara – Kurseong Rd/Subash Ghisingh Marg. NJP railway station is well connected by regular railway networks with Kolkata and other major cities of India. From NJP railway station tourists will get hired vehicle services to reach Beltar.
By Road: Beltar is well connected by good motor-able roads with NJP (53.6 km), Bagdogra Airport (53 km), Siliguri (43 km) and Kurseong (13 km). Tourists will easily get vehicle services from all the above places to visit Beltar by road.
Best time to visit: Beltar can be visited throughout the year. Summers (March to May) are moderate and best to witness numerous flowers blooming in and around the village, monsoon (June to September) offers the most greenery due to moderate to heavy rainfall. Though the road may become slippery but the surrounding landscape becomes more attractive and winters (November to February) are quiet chilly and are perfect more most of the outdoor activities.
