Rimbick is a small Himalayan village or a hamlet of Darjeeling district in the Darjeeling Pulbazaar CD block in the Indian state of West Bengal. Rimbick village is a part of Sandakphu region and many trekkers opt for a night halt at Rimbick during their onward or return journey from Sandakphu trekking expedition. The village of Rimbick lies near Indo – Nepal border area and is set an altitude of 2286 meter (7500 feet) above mean sea level. How to Reach:

By Air: Bagdogra Airport is the nearest airport to Rimbick located at a distance of 128 km via Matigara – Kurseong road. Bagdogra Airport is well connected by regular flight services with Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Guwahati. From Bagdogra Airport tourists will get vehicles on hired (mostly on reserved basis) to reach Rimbick. From Bagdogra Airport it takes about 4.5 hours to reach Rimbick.

By Train: New Jalpaiguri or NJP is the nearest rail head to Rimbick located at a distance of 130 km via NH 110. NJP railway station is well connected by regular railway networks with Kolkata and other major cities of India. From NJP railway station tourists will also get vehicles of hire to reach Rimbick. From NJP railway station by car it takes about 4.5 hours to reach Rimbick.

By Road: Rimbick is well connected by motor-able road with Siliguri (120 km) away. The motor-able road to Rimbick from Siliguri accompanies the serpentine tracks which is a journey of about 05 hours. Apart from this Rimbick can also be reached by motor-able road from Kurseong (86 km) Darjeeling (56 km), Maneybhanjan (55 km), Sandakphu (24 km) and Srikhola (05 km). Best time to visit: Though Rimbick can be visited throughout the year, but the best time to visit Rimbick is the spring (March to May) as during this time the village blooms with wide species of Rhododendrons along with other species of flowers. Winters (November to February) at Rimbick are quiet chilly with occasional snowfall. Summers (May to June) are very comfortable and pleasant at Rimbick.
