When Sunlight falls on the water of Teesta, it gives the water a silver effect. Here time stands still. The locals are mainly engaged in farming. Lemons are also grown here. The whole day will pass out just sitting and viewing the age old beauty of our mother nature. Just at the right hand side of the cottages there is a small trek route, a little uphill, on both the sides of the route there are unknown species of Himalayan flora and the place is full of wilderness. At the end of the trekking route after few turnings there are few orange orchards on the hilly slopes. Very few people are visible at this place. Here you will find many orange orchards but entry is not permissible at every orchard. Again a little further the road has gone downward towards a small falls. At night the view is outstanding, twinkling starts are clearly visible. And at the very far end the lights of Darjeeling and Kalimpong are also clearly visible from Chotamangwa. There is enough to explore around the resort itself, ideally by foot. The flora here on this lovely ridge is amazing. At the time of Sunrise one can witness the changes of colour of Mt. Kanchenjunga as Sunlight falls on it. This place of community based eco tourism is full of wild flora and many species of orchids along with a wide variety of flowers.
