Bannockburn derives its name form from the battleground and hamlet in Glasgow, way back in the year 1314, where history has it that Robert of Scotland defeated the British King, Edward II. Single estate signature teas from Bannockburn have the legacy of being the favourite tea for the British palate.

How to Reach: Bannockburn can be reached either from New Jalpaiguri, the nearest rail head or from Bagdogra, the nearest Airport. It takes around 3.5 hours to reach Bannockburn from NJP railway station and it takes around 4 hours from Bagdogra Airport. One can also reach Bannockburn from Darjeeling, which is a distance of about 10 kilometres. For those who have visited Darjeeling town several times, they can plan out their tour differently as Bannockburn (2 nights), Takdah or Lamahatta (1 night) and Tinchuley or Baramangwa or Chotamangwa (2 nights).
