How to Reach:

By Air: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at Kolkata is the nearest airport to Baguran located at 170.4 km via NH 16 and NH 116B. From Kolkata Airport either by bus or by train or hired vehicle one need to reach upto Contai – the nearest town to Baguran Jalpai. From Contai either by hired vehicle or by a local transport at a distance of 14 km via Junput road is Baguran Jalpai.

By Train: The nearest rail head to Baguran Jalpai is Contai railway station located at 14 km away. From Howrah railway station tourists will get train services upto Contaci (or Kanthi) and from there by hired vehicle or local transport tourists can reach upto Baguran Jalpai located at 14 km away.

By Road: Baguran Jalpai is located at 160 km from Kolkata via Contai and is 04 hours driving distance. Tourist can opt to reserve a private vehicle or one can also drive their own vehicle and reach Baguran Jalpai via Junput road. From Kolkata by road the route to Baguran Jalpai is via Alampur – Panchla – Bagnan – Kolaghat – Mecheda – Chandipur – Khejuri – Nachinda – Marishda – Contai – Baguran Jalpai. It takes about 4.5 hours to reach Baguran Jalpai from Kolkata by road. From Kolkata buses are also available upto Contai bus stand at a distance of 149 km and from Coontai by a local transport one can reach upto Baguran Jalpai.

Best time to visit Baguran Jalpai:
Though Baguran Jalpai can be visited throughout the year, but the best time to visit Baguran Jalpai is from October to February. During this time the weather remains pleasant and is also ideal for outdoor activities. The winter offers comfortable climate which is ideal for beach exploring and visiting the nearby fishermen villages. Tourists are advised to avoid the monsoon season (July – September) due to heavy rainfall and it may disrupt most of the outdoor activities.
